the EIT Urban Mobility RIS Education Open Call 2027 has officially opened for applications.

The call aims to strengthen innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable urban mobility capacities across RIS (Regional Innovation Scheme) countries through high-impact education, training, and ecosystem-building activities.

Total Call Budget: €2.6 Million

Funding Areas

RISE1 – Capacity Building in Innovation and Entrepreneurship

  • Maximum Grant: €300,000

RISE2 – Education and Training Activities in Urban Mobility

  • Maximum Grant: €300,000

RISE3 – Winter and Summer Schools

  • Maximum Grant: €180,000
    (Up to €90,000 per edition)

RISE4 – Scaling and Replication of Successful Initiatives

  • Maximum Grant: €140,000

RISE5 – Networking Activities for the Education Ecosystem

  • Maximum Grant: €70,000

Eligible Applicants

  • Universities and Higher Education Institutions

  • Research and Technology Organizations

  • SMEs and Start-ups

  • Municipalities and Local Authorities

  • Public Bodies

  • Other Relevant Organizations

Projects are expected to adopt the Knowledge Triangle approach, fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and cities to create impactful educational and innovation-driven initiatives.

This call represents an excellent opportunity to establish new European partnerships, develop innovative educational programmes, support entrepreneurship, and contribute to the sustainable transformation of urban mobility systems.
