Mission Soil continues to strengthen research and innovation through dedicated Horizon Europe calls for proposals. The 2026 Mission Soil Work Programme will make available €101 million across seven topics, including new calls on soil monitoring, AI-driven decision-support systems, antimicrobial resistance, Living Labs and soil resilience to extreme weather events in collaboration with the Mission on Climate Adaptation. The single-stage calls are open until 23 September 2026, while the second stage of the two-stage calls closes on 15 September 2026.

The sessions covered all five EU Missions, including the Mission Soil, and offered practical guidance on the new calls for proposals and the application process for prospective applicants.
